Middle eastern music instruments
Traditional Arabic orchestras (arabic: takht) used until the middle of the 19th century 4 melodic instruments: oud, ney, qanun and kamandze. The reqq or tambourin was the most important percussion instrument as it offered the most nuances in sound. Later on daraboukka - formerly utilized in tribal music - gained a prominent place.
